The Force Series Jake HMS Carabiner is a superb belay/rappel carabiner due to its wide (and rounded) bearing surface. This friction interface makes rappelling and descending exceptionally smooth and predictable.
The Jake features a side-opening door that provides ample clearance and ease of use. CThis combined with the spacious basket makes it ideal as a main point carabiner. Keylock design prevents snags on ropes, straps and hardware.
